Sergio Asti Short Tumblers

A set of four short-stem alexandrite tumblers, produced by famed Italian designer Sergio Asti for Arnolfo di Cambio in the 1970s. A true collector's item, each piece is handmade, leading to slight variations in the thickness of the rim, or the placement of the air bubble ('pulega') in the base. Alexandrite glass, or neodymium, is a composite glass type, which appears either bright purple or light blue, depending on the light source.  

These pieces are 11 cm tall, and have a capacity of 150 ml. There are two sets of four available, as well as a collection of taller tumblers (see last photo for reference)
